Ingredients: Vegetable oils (palm kernel, coconut, canola); melatonin; hemp extract; emulsifier: soy lecithin (E322); orange oil.

PROFILE: Melatonin

Melatonin is a hormone produced naturally in the body from serotonin by special cells in the pineal gland, a part of the diencephalon. It controls the day/night rhythm of the human body and has a particular effect on sleep-promoting.

Melatonin was first discovered and named in 1958 by the US dermatologist Aaron B. Lerner. In 1990, the Austrian Franz Waldhauser described the positive effects of melatonin on the distribution of sleep phases: Early sleep phases are shortened, REM sleep is prolonged. The improvement of morning alertness and daytime performance is also considered confirmed. The sleep-promoting effect has been studied in the treatment of jet lag symptoms or insomnia, among other things.

In addition to its use in sleep-promoting agents, melatonin has also been treated scientifically in connection with various medical conditions. Different studies indicate, for example, that melatonin could be supportive in the treatment of cancer.

Recommendation for use

The application should be made after or between meals.

Add 0.5 ml RHEINTRÄUME to about 50-75 ml of water (about a quarter glass) and stir well. Take a sip in the mouth and rinse well several times. Do not rinse. Accidental swallowing poses no danger due to the high quality and nature of the ingredients.
